Barbados
has some breathtaking views and wandering scenery best seen
by wondering through the islands lanes and roads. In the
northeast, the Scotland district has marvelous vistas
of
hills and tropical scenery often set against a distant vista
of the Atlantic surf breaking on the shore. The seascapes
of the east coast are wonderful with the massive rollers
putting up a fine salt spray mist which give a sepia effect
to the shoreline, cliffs and surrounding hills.
There
are marvelous views over the island from many vantage points.
Cherry Tree Hill near Nicholas Abbey looks right down the
East Coast. Hackleton Cliff high above Bathsheba lets you see
from the north to the south of the island.
Gun
Hill, a former British Army Signal Station now operated by
the Barbados National Trust gives you a view over the South
including Bridgetown and there are many more... Where
man has had a hand, visit the Flower Forest and Andromeda
Gardens with their wonderful displays of tropical
flowers and shrubs. Walk through Welchman Hall Gully looking out for the
local green monkey or visit Harrison's Caves for an almost
unique place anywhere in the world.
So
you can see there's lots to do and see to make your holiday
memorable so that you will return, perhaps see more.
